First reactions on the election results looks like Fianna Fail will be back in power!

I have been following the election closely and I am very disappointed at how well Fianna Fail have polled! It just doesnt make sense to me!

Unfortunately I am still waiting to start work. There is a delay in finalising budgets so it could be another few weeks. However, in the meantime I will be looking at other opportunities.

I think the key turning point was the Leaders debate on RTE. I think Bertie Ahern won that easily and Enda Kenny did not stand up to him enough. I think he allowed Bertie to bully him too much.

I also think that the electorate didnt want change because they want someone to blame when things go wrong. THere is a general feeling that the economy will suffer in the next few years and if the government was changed now that would be the reason. Now that the government has not changed the blame can be firmly placed with Fianna Fail. However, that is a very negative attitude!

Watching the European Final during the week was very boring. I though Liverpool played OK but just didnt have enough quality. I cannot figure out why Zenden was still playing. Pennant had a good game without doing anything amazing. But Kaka just had that extra touch of class that changed the game!

Check out my new website www.cha-cha-am.com – this site is aimed at tourists and expats going to Cha-am. Again, it is fully developed with Joomla and more and more I am getting to grips with the potential here!

Went for a few pints last weekend and ended up with one of the worst hangvers ever!!! Because I have not been drinking so much recently I think the effects of the alcohol really hit me badly!

The social scene in Ireland is very different to Thailand. I am not sure which I prefer yet but I think longterm the social scene in Ireland is better.

My prediction that Enda Kenny would beat Bertie in the debate and then in the election looks like a very poor prediction.

I truelly am devastated by the election results coming through.
