But the answer hadnt come back from Bangkok yet.  So instead they just extended my visa for another 30 days!!  This was the worst possible scenario - i hate "not knowing" and for this to drag on for another month will be unbearable.

However, they did say the chances were high and that I should hear within the week - fingers crossed still!  At least the guys in Hua Hin are treating me well but the problem seems to be with the people in Bangkok.  They have a "no" attitude which makes it difficult to get anywhere and when they start with their power trips it s very hard to keep calm.  THere is definitely a jealousy issue when applying for the investment visa because the money I have invested here in Thailand is probably more than most of these people will earn in a lifetime (except if they are involved in under the counter dealings!).

Anyway, I stayed up to watch United winning last night.  Rooney is back on form but Ronaldo was quiet enough.  I still dont think Carrick is performing well enough - given his price tag and Fergie will have to get him going sooner rather than later.  Great to see Smithy back but he should have scored.

I am also doing a lot of work recently on Photoshop.  I bought a huge book - 1,000 pages and am half way through it already.  It really is a powerful tool and I am hoping I can use it to my advantage in the future.  I was always into design and art - and I still think thats where my main interest and skill is.  However, its pretty raw talent and therefore all the reading should improve it.

I am also working on joomla.  The CMS open source system which I am using for this site.  It is giving me some interesting options.  Later this week I will be in Bangkok and I will buy a few more computer books to keep me occupied.  Geeky I know!!

I havent played golf in a while because I was out sick but next week I am getting back into it.

Tonight, and every Wednesday, I have been playing in a pool league.  Actually, it is really good fun, a little serious but fun all the same.  I am playing OK - just emphasising all the time I wasted in Bangkok in pool bars!
