I am on a little trip upcountry to Yasothon

Today I will be driving to Yasothon - the place where Nang is from - in the North East of Thailand.  It will be a long drive - about 11 hours and I am trying t get everything organised before I head away!

The last few days I have been in Hua Hin have been fine.  The new house is grand and is in a perfect location.  There is certainly more to do in Hua Hin compared with Cha-am.  I think it is more suitable to my lifstyle and someone my age.  Cha-am is really only for retirees or someone looking for a very quiet time.  It is definitely more Thai but I think the culture shock coming from Bangkok was too much for me!

The only problem is how I am going to adjust to the culture shock when I get back to Ireland next year!  I really think its going to be a struggle.  I suppose it will all hinge on what type of work I get and whether or not I enjoy the job.  The weather will be abig influence too because it is so good all year round here..... rain, cold and wind don't appeal to me!

I am going to try to lose some weight before I get back to Ireland.  Although the extra kilos will help me against the bad weather I certainly have to lose some.  Its getting out of hand. I am spending too much time behind the computer and not enough exercise.  I always feel better after the exercise but I just can't motivate myself before!! I have even put photos of my belly on the fridge door!

I will try to check email over the next few days but it may be difficult.
