Historical Blog

Well it has been a while since I have been online so many of you are probably wondering what I have been up to. Well I have left Bangkkok and am now living in Cha-am. It is about 2 hours drive south of Bangkok. The house is right on the beach and is in a lovely resort.
I finally took the plunge
Hello again from Cha-am. Was up watching Ireland play Germany last night. They were very unlucky to lose and I thought the ref was very dodgy. It was never a free kick to Germany which they scored from and Ireland definitely deserved a penalty.
Well as you all probably know, Thailand had a "bloodless" coup last week. IN fact it was something that I had been predicting for a few months. It was just surprising that it happened when it did and more inmportantly that it happened without any violence. That can only be as a result of the involvement of the King.
Well things are certainly happening here in Thailand. New interim Government have been endorsed by the King and its full steam ahead for now. It will be interesting to see how things develop but my personal opinion is that the economy will continue to weaken and there may be some good opportunities in the coming 12 months.
